Why I Haven't Been Posting Like I Normally Do

I really want to be straightforward as to why I haven't been putting as much work into blogging like I did last year and the year before that.

I honestly didn't know what to put here besides music favorites and anything school related. I'm now going to high school and I'm going to have more focus on school. I wanted to be extremely focused on the rest of my 8th grade year. School took a major toll on taking time out of my day to think of what you blog about. It was basically me saying, "Why put up things that aren't really meaningful to me on here to fill up empty spaces of blog posts?" I hope that you understand that. I will now have the opportunity to sit down and think of things to put on Kaya's Korner.

Graduation 2016 (From The 8th Grade)

Hello everyone. I have something special that took place in my life. On Friday, June 17th, 2016, I graduated from the 8th grade. I was very much happy when I got my report card the day before. I don't have to go to summer school and I'm officially going to high school! I accomplished everything I was waiting to see at the end of my elementary school years. It was a long way to get there, but I finally did it. My report card grades look like this:

Religion: 91% -- Average: 91

English Language Arts: 92% -- Average: 93

Mathematics: 85% -- Average: 85

Science: 86% -- Average: 90

Social Studies: 96% -- Average: 91

Art: Level 3

Spanish: Level 3

Meyer-Briggs Personality Test/Questionnaire

This post is a quick little fun thing to do in your spare time. My science teacher told us about this personality questionnaire and it's called the Meyer-Briggs Personality Test. Basically it tells you if you're an introvert or extrovert, you strengths and weaknesses, and what other people can get along with you. It consist of 62 questions and you either answer YES (strongly agree), yes (agree), uncertain, no (disagree), and NO (strongly disagree). My result came to INFJ. At the end of this task, it'll tell you what it means. We compare our results all the time in science class and it's a fun way to compare what type of person you are in terms of generalization between your peers. I encourage you to take it. Artist of the Month: Tame Impala

This year, I decided to connect to people through the way I understand certain things and that's through music, art, and speaking to one another. I have something new to lay down here on Kaya's Korner. It's called "Artist of the Month." These postings are pretty much where I introduce people to a band or singer that I've been really listening to or enjoying their music. This month's artist is an Australian band named Tame Impala. Their music consists of psychedelic rock, indie rock, psychedelic pop, and neo-psychedellia. They currently have 3 studio albums. I enjoy their music because some of their songs have like a decade of music starting from the 60s to the '00s. Tame Impala kind of reminds me of The Beatles in terms of their lead singer Kevin Parker. The music they make has a meaning behind each and every song. I seriously cannot stop listening to their new album called "Currents", which is made up of 13 heart-felt songs. When it comes down to music, I like to find interest in not so well-known artists and I think that this band keeps it simple, but tries to make you think when you're listening. I'd ask that you try to listen to their music and see how you like it. It's not loud nor is it crazy and out of tune. Enjoy listening!
