The Sixties

Hello everybody. I have something I've been wanting to share with a ton of people. I'm a really huge fan of the 1960s! Yes, I know it was a very hard time for America. The wars, killings, racism, and the biggest one: the assassination of three of my favorite people of that time period: John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and Robert F. Kennedy. Some people might be thinking, "Aren't you happy to live in the time of technology, cool clothing, and better living?" My answer is, "Yes, yes I am." I just love the politics, TV shows, clothing, books, and the president! Boy was John F. Kennedy pretty handsome! Also with the Space launchings and the wars we had to deal with. I bet it was pretty hard for Kennedy to deal with.

I'm a very big fan of the Kennedy Family for sure. That's pretty much what I write about in my book of life. I like science especially with space. In 1968-1969, we went up in space and landed the first 'Man on the Moon.' I was really excited to read on it.

I enjoy reading anything on the 60s. If you give me a quiz on it, I'm pretty sure I would pass! In August, I will be reading a book on John & Jackie Kennedy and I'm very happy indeed to read it.

That is all for now. Next week you just might be seeing a July Favorites and the start of my Back To School posts so you might want to stay tuned for that!

P.S. There is also a CNN series called "The Sixties" that comes on on Thursdays at 9pm. Be sure to watch that!

(FTC: "The Sixties" wasn't  sponsored by CNN, I felt that you might want to watch the show!)

▲ Lana Del Rey ▲

Lana Del Rey is my favorite artist. Her music relates to what I like, and I mean a lot! Here is a list of songs and reasons I love her.

Ultraviolence (2014 Album)
Brooklyn Baby
Ultraviolence
Cruel World
Shades of Cool
West Coast

Born To Die (2012)
National Anthem
Diet Mountain Dew
Carmen
Summertime Sadness
Video Games
Blue Jeans

Paradise (2013)
Ride
Bel Air
Cola
Gods & Monsters
Body Electric

Other songs by Lana
Young & Beautiful

3 reasons I love Lana Del Rey
1.) Her music is soothing. It has violins, slow tempos, and when you just need to relax, her music is there.

2.) Her music is a type of 60's pop. I'm a very big fan of the 1960s and her music has that type of beat.

3.) I get good vibes with her music. I think a lot and deeply when I listen to Lana's music.

That is it for now! I hope you enjoyed reading and check next time for a blog post.

☪ A New Chapter ☪

Good evening, afternoon, or morning wherever you live. My name is Kayá and I'm a twelve year old girl who enjoys music, history, writing, reading, and family friend time. I will become a seventh grader on September 8th and I am prepared to do whatever it takes to do my absolute best the school year. I'm a whole-hearted girl who cares for her family, friends, and life.

The title of this post means that I am moving on with my life with bigger better things. When I mean that, I mean that I have to take better care if myself: physically and mentally. I have to have a better mindset going into my new chapter. Yes, I still have the same humorous, smart, and beautiful personality, but I have to have those days were I need quiet and to focus on more things. (schoolwork, grades, life, person things) This doesn't mean I won't be posting only once or twice a month as I move on, it just means you might see more bigger and better things on Kaya's Korner. Yes, I'm still going to do "Monthly Favorites & Musical Listings." I love my blog and I wouldn't change every single thing.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that as I grow older, things are going to have to change and I have to learn that. I love you all and I want everyone to enjoy my blog. Don't worry I'm still going to be posting so stay tuned!
